Munster Marine Ltd is a family run business which has over 45 years involvement in the GRP industry. The company is run by Peter Whiting and was founded in 1968 by his father Tony at Rutland Street, Cork, when fibreglass manufacturing was at it's infant stage.
The business moved to it's present custom-built premises in 2001.
True to it's name Munster Marine has always maintained a particular connection with boats and has taken design concepts from drawings through the plug and mould making stages and into production.
Since 1998 we have manufactured almost fifty 'Berny Cat' sailing dinghies and there is now a well established fleet of this 5metre classic style craft in the Golfe de Morbihan in Brittany.
The 2011 Team Racing World championships were held in Schull Co. Cork using 25 Munster Marine built TR 3.6 sailing dinghies.
The vast majority of the hugely successful ICRF One Design Celtic Yawls have been built at Munster Marine.
Because of the versatility of GRP, almost any shape and size is possible within reason, and over the years we have made a great variety of generic and bespoke products for the Construction, Environmental, Aquaculture, Transport and Pleasure industry sectors.
A major advantage of GRP is it's ability to be repaired and modified and Munster Marine regularly repairs damaged RIBs, sailing dinghies and motor craft as well as a variety of other items ranging from surfboards to ride-on lawnmowers.
Glassfibre and Resin Supplies Ltd is the sister company to Munster Marine and supplies materials and equipment to GRP, Construction, Craft and Hobby customers nationwide.
